“Chuck” returning to Comic-Con

We are still waiting for the official announcement on the date but I think it’s pretty save to say that Chuck will be involved at Comic-Con again this year. Hopefully more updates can be made soon. Comic-Con International roars back into the San Diego Convention Center on July 21-24, 2011.

The network also revealed that Chuck was brought back for a final season, and Nerd Herd-gone secret agent Zachary Levi revealed he would be setting up shop for his Nerd Machine product line at the show. Think he might make time for a farewell panel? You betcha.

[EDIT]: And its confirmed, Warner Bros. announced their lineup of panels for this year’s Comic Con and the Chuck panel will take place on Saturday, July 23 .

10:00–10:45 a.m. Chuck Screening and Q&A – Comic Con fan-favorite Chuck returns with a bang for its farewell panel to celebrate its fifth and final season. Join executive producer and co-creator Chris Fedak, along with series stars Zachary Levi (Alvin and the Chipmunks), Yvonne Strahovski (upcoming My Mother’s Curse), Joshua Gomez (Without a Trace), Ryan McPartlin, Mark Christopher Lawrence (The Pursuit of Happyness), Vik Sahay (Good Will Hunting), Scott Krinsky (The O.C.) with Sarah Lancaster (The Good Doctor) and Adam Baldwin (Serenity), for a Q&A with fans and an unforgettable video presentation. Yvonne Strahovski joins ‘Mother’s Curse’

It was announced a while ago that Yvonne had joined Seth Rogen and Barbra Streisand for My Mother’s Curse. And now it was announced that Colin Hanks has just signed onto the project, he will play the husband of Rogen’s high school sweetheart (Yvonne Strahovski). The pair let Rogen and Streisand crash in their house after they get caught in a blizzard.

Yvonne Strahovski, who stars opposite Zachary Levi in Chuck, is joining My Mother’s Curse, Paramount’s road movie starring Seth Rogen and Barbra Streisand.

Anne Fletcher (The Proposal) is directing the project with a script by Dan Fogelman (Cars), which he wrote based on his own experience traveling with his mother.

The dramedy follows an inventor (Rogen) who invites his mother (Streisand) on a cross-country trip as he tries to sell his new product while also reuniting her with a lost love.

Strahovski will play Rogen’s high school sweetheart whom he once proposed to.

Lorne Michaels and John Goldwyn are producing along with Evan Goldberg.

Strahovski will be back on Chuck for its just announced fifth and final season. On the big screen, she co-stars with Robert De Niro, Clive Owen and Jason Statham in Killer Elite, which was acquired earlier this week by Open Road Films.

She is repped by IFA and McKeon Myones Management.

Official: NBC renews ‘Chuck’ for final season

And ‘Chuck’ won (once again) E! Online’s 2011 Save One Show with 43.6%! YEEY!

You want the good news first or the bad news?

NBC’s Chuck has been renewed for a fifth season. Yay!

But: This is will be the final season of Chuck.

The perpetual bubbliest of the broadcast bubble shows has once again pulled out a victory, securing a fifth round that will air on NBC next season. The network has ordered 13 episodes for Warner Bros. The “final season” part is a bummer, but at least the show will get an ending, which is something most serialized dramas on TV never get.

Creator Josh Schwartz tweeted: “What’s the square root of 25?” (playing off, of course, Ashton Kutcher’s tweet about joining Two and a Half Men). Then he added: The passion of the CHUCK fans has been heard again… We are all truly lucky to have the greatest fan base on tv. Thank you. … I will have more details soon… Very happy for the cast and crew.”

For awhile there, things looked possibly bleak for our heroes. New NBC chief Robert Greenblatt took the reins and inherited a new crop of pilots to shape into his own hits, while at the same time Chuck was dipping in the rating — the show averaged 5.6 million viewers and a 2.0 rating among adults 18-49 this season. But the show has a devoted following and was often NBC’s highest-rated series on Monday nights and insiders were confident the show would return once more.
